Here are some easy homemade face pack for glowing skin recipes as per your skin type which can get you the foregone radiance and glow.

Acne-prone skin does require special care. The buildup of dead cells and bacteria clogging the pores, it is essential to make sure that you do not apply anything and everything that you come across the internet. For acne-prone skin type, a mixture of turmeric with antiseptic properties with honey, known for its antibacterial, antimicrobial properties is the best fit.

Ingredients for Acne-Prone Skin Face Mask:

  • ½ a tablespoon of turmeric/Haldi paste
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Instructions:

  • Mix turmeric paste with honey.
  • Apply it evenly on your face and leave it for 10 minutes.
  • Wash it with lukewarm water and a rinse cloth.

Face Mask for Sensitive Skin

Just like acne-prone skin, sensitive skin needs extra care too which is why this DIY face mask of green tea/matcha, honey and oil is the perfect match for your sensitive skin. The green tea in its powdered form, known as matcha, is full of antioxidants which fight free radicals and reduce the oxidative stress of the skin cells, thus rejuvenating them. The honey is well known for its antimicrobial properties that get rid of the bacteria clogging your pores and finally the oil in the blend nourishes and moisturizes the skin to keep it soft.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon matcha (you can also use green tea leaves as an alternative)
  • 1 tablespoon almond or jojoba oil

  • Mix all the ingredients well in a bowl.

Face Mask for Dry Skin

This well-known vegetable is one of the greatly sought after herbs that is full of good fats. Blend it with the antimicrobial properties of honey and moisturizing properties of the oil, this mask will help you keep your skin dry and soft.

Ingredients:

  • ¼ smashed avocado
  • 2 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon almond oil

Instructions:

  • Mix all the ingredients well in a bowl. The better you mash the avocado, easier it would be to apply across your skin.
  • Apply the paste evenly on the face and leave it for 5-10 minutes.
  • Wash with lukewarm water and a rinse cloth.

Face Mask for Oily Skin

Unlike dry skin, for oily skin, it is essential to make sure that the skin stays sufficiently moisturized so that excess oil is not produced by the skin. For oily skin, we recommend the energy stick of nature, banana. Full of potassium, fibre, antioxidants and silica mixed with the beneficial properties of vitamin B6 and C, bananas are great for your skin. Mix this goodness of banana with the cleansing properties of lemon oil and moisturizing properties of almond/jojoba oil, your skin would simply love this self-care routine.

  • 1 banana, mashed
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon almond or jojoba oil

Instructions:

  • Mix all the ingredients well in a bowl.
  • Apply the paste evenly on the face and leave it for 10-15 minutes.
  • Wash with lukewarm water and a rinse cloth.

Face Mask for Flaky Skin

If you’ve got a flaky skin condition, this mask with Aloe Vera, banana and almond oil will give it all the nutrition it needs.   • 2 tablespoons of fresh Aloe Vera gel
  • 1 banana, mashed
  • 3 tablespoons of almond oil

  • Mix all the ingredients well in a bowl.

Apart from these easy homemade face masks, there some skincare routines or rules that you can follow along to take care of your skin.

  • Before applying any mask, make sure you wash and pat dry your face.
  • If you have sensitive skin, you should try the face masks on a little patch of the skin to try it first and check for any side effects like inflammation and redness.
  • After removing the masks, you can follow it up by applying a toner to close the pores and a moisturizer. Like we mentioned earlier, even if you have slightly oily skin, it is always a good idea to moisturize your skin.
